Thanks Supporters, Calls for a New Direction for Nevada
(Las Vegas, NV) – Today Dean Heller made the following remarks after being declared the winner of Nevada’s Republican Primary in the race for the United States Senate:
“I’m honored by the outcome of tonight’s primary contest, and look forward to the exciting months ahead. I would also like to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported me.
“Nevada and our nation are facing tough times, and this upcoming election will determine the direction of our country for years to come.
“In this Senate race, there are two visions for our future. The first vision, we remain on the path we are on. Policies that are stifling economic growth, saddling our children and grandchildren with a massive amount of debt — a Washington top-down philosophy that has placed Nevada with higher unemployment, foreclosures and bankruptcies.
“Or Nevadans can choose a new direction where we hold government accountable, fix our economy, create jobs, keep families in their homes, balance the budget, and strive for a future that leaves the next generation with more opportunities and a better quality of life. Tonight marks the moment where we can come together and change the course we are on.
“This election has enormous consequences for our state and our country. Right now, far too many Nevadans are unsure of the opportunities they can provide for their children and grandchildren.
“We must move beyond the politics of today to create a better future for Nevada and our nation. I know there are better days ahead, and together we can create a better future and place our nation on path to greater prosperity, creating the Nevada that we know our children and grandchildren deserve.”
