Dean shares our values of hard work, family and the fiercely independent spirit of his fellow Nevadans.

That's why he bucked his party, President Bush, then presidential candidates Barack Obama, and John McCain as the only member of the Nevada delegation to vote against the Wall Street bailout.

Dean stood up to both President Bush and President Obama, rejecting their bloated budgets and spending bills that continue to rack up record deficits and increase the national debt.

Dean was also the lone voice rejecting an expansive wilderness plan in several rural counties that local communities did not want. He fought against President Bush's amnesty proposal and encouraged stronger enforcement of our existing immigration laws. And, Dean crossed party lines to support a national renewable energy portfolio standard and to help Nevadans from foreclosing on their homes.

Dean continues to be a strong, independent voice for Nevada.
