Fiscal Responsibility

Attention: open in a new window. PrintE-mail

Since Dean's election to Congress, he has been at the forefront in the fight for fiscal responsibility in Congress.

Dean has voted against hundreds of billions in tax increases, expansion of government and out-of-control spending. He was the only member of the Nevada delegation to vote against the Wall Street bailout.

With out-of-control spending and record deficits, Dean continues to advocate for balanced budgets and fiscal sanity in Congress.

Dean stood up to both President Bush and President Obama, rejecting their bloated budgets and spending bills that continue to rack up record deficits and increase the national debt.

Dean believes that increasing taxes to pay for bigger government makes little sense. Instead, Congress should cut spending, reduce the size of government and provide tax breaks for America's working middle class.
