Dean: Congress Should Join Government-Run Health Plan
Congressman Heller introduced legislation last week requiring members of Congress to join any government-run health care plan created by Congress:
Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., told colleagues Thursday that members of Congress should be required to join any federal public health benefits plan created by Congress.
"I do not believe the federal government should be running health care in our country and levying massive tax increases on America's small businesses," said Heller in urging support for an amendment to the proposed plan. "However, if this administration and the majority party are going to force government-run health care on the American people, then members of Congress should be required to enroll in that plan.
"If the government-run 'public plan' is good enough for millions of our constituents, then it should be good enough for members of Congress," he said.
Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee rejected Dean's amendment to their health care bill.

statements like this it comes to my attention this term he serves is ALL about him not us, you know the Country that gave him the right to be an idiot and Commander in Chief at the same time! Yes I called the man an idiot............if he can iterate these
morsels of road apples in front of the world without remorse or social recourse then it is my duty as a Veteran to call this man an IDIOT! Barry, Barrack...........what ever your name is, it is clear to me you were born under another flag, or maybe a cabbage
leaf..........but you're not a man fit or of the ilk or fiber to be called an American Citizen. How you got in office scares me, should you get a second term I will change my definition of scared. He doesn't seem to have much respect for the military. Maybe
in the future our leaders should be veterans. THIS MOST UNBELIEVABLE PRESIDENT? HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO REQUIRE THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES. Bad press, including major mockery of the play by comedian Jon Stewart,
led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The President admitted
that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal. "Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their
choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the
patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit.. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans." Please pass this on to every one including every vet and their families whom you know. How in the world did
a person with this mindset become our leader? REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT...."Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice?" If he thinks he will ever get another vote from
an Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard service member or veteran of a military service he ought to think it over.. If you or a family member is or has served their country please pass this to them. Please pass this to everyone. I'm guessing that other than
the 20-25 percent hardcore liberals in the US will agree that this is just another example why this is the worst president in American history. Remind everyone over and over how this man thinks, while he bows to the Saudi Arabian king... Bow to us & pray we
continue our duties, while we pray.............. you just go away! .
